The name, Lotus House, was selected to reflect the tranquility of the home and the natural beauty of the surrounding woods and creek. The environment at Lotus House is untouched native woods, and we encourage green living and the peaceful enjoyment of the Texas Hill Country. The creek, magnificent vegetation, and the wide variety of trees and birds make this the unique location for the practice of ancient healing arts, meditation, and communion with nature.
Lotus House was designed and built by a sculptor/architect in 1976each stone and detail hand-selected as part of the artists vision of living in harmony with the natural beauty of the Hill Country. The distinctive house was designed as passive solar and made of salvaged and recycled antique wood, native stone, antique doors and windows, and stained glass. The house is on four levels, on the bluff, overlooking Pearce Creek. Hidden in the center of 3.2 wooded acres, the house is in harmony with the natural surroundings for complete seclusion.
